How to Bridge the Gaps for Resilient Youth from K-12 to Post-Secondary

Learn what steps counselors, teachers, mentors, administrators, and other educational professionals can take to help resilient youth (at-risk students, foster youth, juvenile justice, formerly incarcerated, or homeless) make a successful transition from K-12 to post-secondary education (CCC, CSU, UC, or CTE). This interactive workshop will invite education professionals to come together and highlight promising practices when working with the youth. There will also be a discussion of legislative trends, current services available throughout the state, program models, and strategies to take away from the workshop and use to serve youth at their institutions.
